In addition, The company was an American governmental company owning a constellation of communication satellite providing broadcast services from 1964 to 2001 in the world.
However, a private Luxembourg corporation has been managing “Intelsat” since 2001. After that, the company was renamed to “Intelsat S.A.” on the 18th April 2013, and was listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) by an initial public offering, but “Intelsat” filed for a bankruptcy with over 15 billion USD as total debts in the U.S. courts on the 13th May 2020.
